| Postdigital | What does this mean? Why is it not two words? Is it just Dave making-up another term in an attempt to get keynote gigs? No, it actually has some substance to it and could be a very helpful way of framing the learning-tech discussion over the next few years. If you are sceptical about all this then you should definitely turn-up. The chances of an argument breaking out are very high. Think of this as your mental warm-up for ALT. | Monday 7th | 8pm | Lass-o-Gowrie (map) We will be in 'The Snug' room from about 7.30pm. This is limited to 20 people on a first come first to get a seat basis. We will attempt to stretch the discussion out into the main bar if possible though. | Dave White Ian Truelove (via Twitter) Richard Hall | |

| Digital Literacy/Digital Britain/Digital Rights/Net Neutrality | DigiLit? DigiBrit? Here we are now; entertain us! Is it all about the consumption of more stuff via more paid-for channels and the pro/persecution of evil file-sharers who threaten social order? Or can the Digital Britain agenda be seen as an opportunity to widen access not only to 21st century autos-da-fé but to a wider critically connected commons? How can we get people in education active in supporting the principles of net neutrality and internet access as fundamental right? [Note from Seb at ALT - you may wish to add comments to the discussion post at http://altc2009.alt.ac.uk/posts/6168255.] | Thursday 10 Sept | 2pm - after lunch on the last day | Lass-o-Gowrie (map) | Josie Fraser George Roberts Scott Wilson | |

| What has Fair Isle knitting to tell us about adopting social media in teaching and learning? | More than you might think - the latest in a long line of links between technology and textile crafts will touch on economics, history, Iceland, creativity, innovation, patterns, WYSIWIG, Edward VII and social learning. All in less than 10 minutes - intrigued? you will be! | Weds | Lunch time - 1.30 | Frances Bell | ||

| Deschooling society | Love learning: hate education. What roles should universities and schools have in today's world? Are there better ways of supporting learning. Are schools a barrier for learning in our society? Could technology be better used to support learning outside institutions. | Thurs | 2.30 | Lass-o-Gowrie (map) | Graham Attwell | |
