Programme is perhaps to grand a word for a self-organised fringe, but we do have events, dates and times, and places to hold them. And here they are, add your own, its as easy as that!
| F-ALT planning || meeting up, getting badges, talking through sessions, |
warm up session - finalising dates, times & sessions
|Tuesday 8th||First coffee break (morning)||Where the coffee is||Josie Fraser, Scott Wilson, Steve Wheeler||n/a|
|Monday 7 Sept|
|Postdigital|| What does this mean? Why is it not two words? Is it just Dave making-up another term in an attempt to get keynote gigs? No, it actually has some substance to it and could be a very helpful way of framing the learning-tech discussion over the next few years. If you are sceptical about all this then you should definitely turn-up. The chances of an argument breaking out are very high. |
Think of this as your mental warm-up for ALT.
|Monday 7th||8pm|| Lass-o-Gowrie (map) |
We will be in 'The Snug' room from about 7.30pm.
This is limited to 20 people on a first come first to get a seat basis.
We will attempt to stretch the discussion out into the main bar if possible though.

|Thurs 10 Sept|
|Digital Literacy/Digital Britain/Digital Rights/Net Neutrality|| DigiLit? DigiBrit? Here we are now; entertain us! Is it all about the consumption of more stuff via more paid-for channels and the pro/persecution of evil file-sharers who threaten social order? Or can the Digital Britain agenda be seen as an opportunity to widen access not only to 21st century autos-da-fé but to a wider critically connected commons? |
How can we get people in education active in supporting the principles of net neutrality and internet access as fundamental right?

|Deschooling society||Love learning: hate education. What roles should universities and schools have in today's world? Are there better ways of supporting learning. This will be a free event for anyone to drop in virtually either just before, after or during ALT-C. There will also be scheduled tours held by the external developer (Gemixin Ltd) at set times during this period. |
